Newport Beach & Company Creates Two-year Strategic Marketing Plan

Welcome to the start of the 2014/2015 fiscal year! As Newport Beach & Company looks ahead to the “Fiscal New Year,” we are overcome with enthusiasm to share our first two-year Marketing Plan with you.

This new strategic approach allows the organization to create long-term aggressive goals, innovative programming and implement industry-leading strategies.

The plan outlines in detail the marketing goals and tactics for the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 fiscal years for our umbrella organization Newport Beach & Company and business units: Visit Newport Beach (Leisure Travel and Conference Sales), Dine Newport Beach, Enterprise Newport Beach (Balboa Village Merchants Association), and Newport Beach TV.

Each unit encompasses their own individual yet integrated methods to strengthening the cohesive brand of Newport Beach and generate tourism to the destination.  Highlights include the following:

  • United Newport Beach branding across all business units
  • Increased leisure hotel room nights
  • Amplified group sales hotel room nights
  • Strengthened community relationships
  • Greater digital consumer reach
  • Increased new and traditional press coverage
  • Culinary community engagement
  • Raising the profile of Newport Beach TV
  • Focused & concentrated efforts to boost the profile of Balboa Village

We will achieve these goals by moving forward with the following priorities that include:

  • Integrated destination marketing
  • Inventive Drive market campaign
  • Consumer-facing public service hospitality training
  • Increased international marketing footprint
  • Amplified conference sales client engagement
  • The launch of Dine Newport Beach
  • Creation of a strategic partnership program
  • Tourism-based Newport Beach TV content
